Much better day, clearer skies and no rain forecast. We left Utica using Bicycle Route 5. This section has rumble strips and caused Sandra's seat bag to fall off and jam between the rear wheel and the seat frame. That seat bag has been a disaster the whole trip.
At Little Falls we picked up the trail again, this was mostly paved with some sections of stone dust. What stone dust there was was very soft causing us to once again abandon the trail for the road.
When we arrived at Fort Plain, very few stores were open, the 4th July celebrations had been on the 3rd July so there was very little to see.
The White Rose B&B looked after us exceptionally well and helped pick up the subs we ordered from the one local Pizza Place that was open.
